"I am now comfortable for the first time in 2.5 years"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire

(as the patient),

Before my wife died in Shrewsbury Hospital of pneumonia and some other minor items (married 45 years!) I have missed her terribly ever since (every day) and still do.

I was in Telford hospital for six weeks and two weeks recover – then I came home (with two nurses for a few days). Then they brought my wife home from a nursing home where she was in my eight week absence she was not “well”. She seemed dogged with “sweeping pains”.

It was advised she go into Shrewsbury Hospital but soon they moved her to Hospital where I visited regularly at night, driven by my next door neighbour in her own car. I paid for the petrol each trip. After a few weeks my wife died there.

I was upset. We had both been vaccinated from pneumonia 10 years earlier for life. I kept away from our surgery for 2 years then finally I decided I must see a doctor.

I got an appointment with a doctor. I saw him, he examined me and gave me treatment for an ear lobe infection and back ache which helped and I got an appointment.

I am now comfortable for the first time in 2. 5 years.
