On the 4th June 2013 my dear Dad had a stroke at his home, he was taken to A&E by ambulance and from that moment on was given so much care/kindness and attention..he was 93 - he was given every possible chance to be able to recover.. He was on Dunkery Ward for 6 weeks where he was cared for with gentle kindness and patience by ALL the staff -(they found socks for his cold feet and a fan for the hot days of that summer). I travelled 300 miles from my home in Yorkshire and together with my sister who lives locally we visited everyday the same kindness was given to us too- sadly Dad died on 18th July Thank you all for looking after him - and us at a very sad time . I will never forget. Please folks if you or yours need to be in Dunkery ward I am sure your will be given the same care as we had... xxB
