Staff know one solution to a problem. However patients face a combination of problems at the same time, not only in the area where they are being treated. The advice given to one became the cause of the other.
Hence the overall condition might get worse rather than better. That was more noticeable in older staff whose attitude was "I have experience, you just listen to what I say"
