I would like to express my gratitude for the care I received when I was admitted to Leighton Hospital on. Throughout my stay and irrespective of the where I was being looked after I was treated with the utmost kindness, dedication and professionalism. There were periods where I was unaware of what was going on around me or that I did not fully understand but even during these periods my wife was sometimes present and has told me how dedicated and amazing staff were towards both her and me. I have many images of staff members faces but sadly cannot put names to them all, in addition I have vague memories of some events which occurred during my stay and whilst they are vague and I cannot put them in a chronological order I recall them all in a positive light. Some may seem to be simple things when compared to the actual treatments/procedures which took place, such as staff talking to me or explaining what they were doing whilst I was unconscious or confused but I can assure you they did help and encouraged me to get better. During my stay I was taken by the fact that staff never stopped working for the benefit of the patients and yet even with the high demands placed upon them they never lost sight of our welfare or dignity. Having been a patient for a while I have to say how much I am in awe of the skill levels, dedication, professionalism, commitment to patients and the sheer work rate of all the people that looked after me as well as the other staff members looking after other patients. There are no words to express adequately my appreciation or gratitude for what everyone at Leighton has done not only for myself but for also my wife and our daughter, I shall be eternally grateful to all those involved in my care.
