(as a relative),

I am a ward manager at Millbrook hopsital and understand how important it is for patient quality for feedback (good & bad!)

Over the past few days my family and I have been caring for a relative on ward 24. On behalf of my family I would like to thank the staff over the weeks for caring for my uncle. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the care & compassion shown to him and the family. Nothing was too much trouble & our needs were understood as well as his end of life care.

Although the real personality of my uncle could not be seen due to his cruel illness he would have given each and every one of you a hug

Sadly he lost his fight for life in the early hours one day this week and, during this night shift, staff cared for his wife, daughter and the family with empathy and helped them through some of their darkest days

Every single member of staff should be commended including the housekeepers and staff of all grades but I would like to personally mention Suzanne, Tracy & Diane & Dr Moreby

Wards such as this make me proud to be part of the NHS.
