"Male MAU"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Attended A&E with chest pains, this fast tracked me through the system. The staff and doctors were very thorough, they couldn't have been better. 2 hrs later was in MAU and was greeted by the night shift staff nurse and assistant, who couldn't do enough for you. The following morning at shift hand over was again greeted by the oncoming staff nurse and the 2nd year nurse. again fantastic nursing. This excellent nursing care was then let down by the arrogant doctor/consultant who was more pleased in clearing his rounds and freeing up beds by 10:30 than patient care.

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the nursing care you received whilst on MAU. I will pass your comments on to the nursing staff.

I will also forward you’re comments onto the Senior Consultant for MAU so he can remind the doctors about their communication skills towards patients.
