"Waiting List"

About: West Suffolk Hospital

After having waited two and a half months for an appointment for a Gynaecology outpatient appointment and hearing nothing I have today 17th March had to chase it up. I was told that I should have attended on 13th March After investigation I was told that the appointment letter had not been sent to me therefore I cannot attend an appointment I know nothing about. I do not wish for a "Did Not Attend" to be recorded against me. I would like to thank your staff for rearranging my appointment for two weeks time at the beginning of April but if this happens on a regular basis then it's little wonder there are long waiting lists. Thank you Clare Moore

Dear Ms Moore We are sorry to hear of the situation regarding your gynaecology appointment. I will ensure these details are passed on to our complaints department to investigate why this might have happened. If you wish to discuss this further, we suggest you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS): pals@wsh.nhs.uk
