"Fermoy unit kings Lynn"

My sibling has been an in-patient in the Fermoy and is still under their care. My sibling had harmed themselves whilst under their care which was very distressing for the family. My mother is currently looking after them at her home. They have tried to take their life on several occasions and in once incidence they ended up in a coma. My mother repeatedly rings the Fermoy begging for help as she is finding it hard to cope. She also has a very serious lung condition and on one occasion needed to go to hospital but she couldn't go because she fears iIf she leaves my sibling they will self-harm themselves again. She rang the crisis team situated in the Fermoy, but again we feel there is no help. They seem not to care about patients. My poor Mum is not coping at all and she doesn't know who to turn to anymore as no one seems to care weather my sibling will die because of their self-harming.

I have a young son myself with mental health problems and I rang the local child services because he was under them at the time to tell them my son had put my dressing gown cord around his neck to kill himself, he was 7 years old. He was so upset with life he couldn't cope anymore and he told me about all his worries. The member of staff who my son was seeing at the mental health service said during a phone call, oh dear I will find some advice and call you back. She never rang back and my son was discharged from their services. From the age of 5-9 of my son’s life was the most horrendous time I ever experienced with my 3 children because of his depression and anxiety. The mental health services in Kings Lynn have, in my experience, been a let-down where it seems ‘ if your face don't fit’.
