"Maternity Ward Service"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary

The ward was very clean and most staff were helpful and showed professionalism but one midwife was snappy, had an attitude problem and showed no respect to my partner what so ever. I wouldn't speak to my dog the way she spoke to my partner. As long as staff like that work at this Infirmary I will not come back. The arrogance of the midwife and tone she used was appalling. Never have I experienced such lack of professionalism.

Thank you for your posting in respect of the use of the Maternity Services provided at this Trust. We were pleased to note that most of your experience was positive but are very disappointed that one member of staff has given you such a negative impression. This is clearly not what we would wish.

If you wish to contact the Patient Relations team we would be happy to look into your concern in a more formal manner.
