"Felt very well cared for"

I don't know what all the recent one-star reviews are about, I am on Silvertown ward right now and it has been very good. The NHS is always stretched but that is not the fault of the frontline staff, who on Silvertown were a great mix of compassionate but also no-nonsense about not letting me wallow too much in feeling sorry for myself. I was given the pain relief that I needed, and I felt very well taken care of. I felt like I could ask questions without fear of looking silly, and the nurses would spend as much time as they needed to make me feel at ease about my stay. The food....it was okay and edible, but a bit of improvement in quality wouldn't go astray. But this is a very small quibble. Special thanks to the staff.
