"Completely reassured by the excellent care and compassion given to my son"

(as a parent/guardian),

My teenage son collapsed while being seen at out of hours department. At a very anxious time, I was completely reassured by the excellent care and compassion given to my son and indeed myself. I can only thank everyone who cared for him from the doctor and nurse in the out of hours to the consultant, Dr Hill, doctors and nurses in ECU and then ward 2. Their care and dedication makes them a credit to their profession and certainly restored my faith in an nhs which is too often in the media for the wrong reasons.

I hope your son is feeling better. As the parent of a teenage son myself, I can only begin to imagine how frightening that must have been!

I'm glad to hear that you felt your son was in safe hands before and during his admission to hospital; it's also pleasing to know that you felt supported by both doctors and nurses during this anxious time.

I will be delighted to pass on your kind words to Dr Hill and all the staff involved in those treatment areas.

I wish your son a speedy recovery.
