"I felt there were patients there that needed more urgent attention"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I sat waiting for over 3 hours to be seen at Heartlands Hospital. Though my treatment was good, I felt there were patients there that needed more urgent attention than they received.

For example I witnessed a patient with a massive infection which seemed to be stopping them breathing properly, someone bleeding from a large cut in their head and someone with a septic cut making their arm go black. They were just a few of the poor people being made to wait and who had heard nothing.

Well done NHS

Dear KTP

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write to Patient Opinion regarding what you observed at Heartlands Hospital Emergency Department.

I have taken on board your comments and your feedback about your own experience and I have forward it onto the General Manager who looks after the department.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery

Iona
