(as the patient),

I'm a doctor so I'm aware how tough the NHS can be.

The orthoptic dept at Gartnavel have provided brilliant service for my twin boys over the last two years.

The get the 'basics' right. They are clearly able to diagnose problems (each of my boys is different) and are able to provide the right treatment, and monitor the response to treatment.

That on it's own would be impressive, but they are also:

1) Always on time

2) Always brilliant with boys who are often tired/restless

3) Always brilliant with parents who are sometime tired/restless

4) Always put you at ease.

5) Aways explain what is going on, clearly.
