"A&E Tues 11th March 6-11pm"

I am disgusted with the service received from both Selby and York hospitals. We were waiting 4 hours before being seen by York after Selby referred us. The staff at York were scruffy, slovenly,miserable and a poor professional example of the NHS. I was amazed to see drug users and drunks seen first escorted by the police, and poor elderly patients left on trolleys in the corridors often with chests on display. The little faith I have in the NHS has really hit rock bottom and I feel incensed to get involved in local initiatives to look at hospital management. I'd love to get my hands on York hospital and sort it out. I'm extremely disappointed and ashamed that it is my local A&E.
