Rude, unco-operative, and don't listen ! Even worse experience trying to rebook an appointment. I saw a registrar who was literally pushing me out the door and I was refused information on test results! I hate this department. Consultant secretaries are equally bad in attitude I think they learn from their employers. The worst thing about this hospital is the lack of communication from doctor to patient and their "closed door" attitude. Even when u complain to PALS it doesn't get followed up it gets fobbed off.

I was extremely sorry to hear of the experience you encountered when recently attending for an appointment at our Royal Derby Hospital. We would certainly welcome having the opportunity to look into this matter further on your behalf. However, without knowing more patient details and exactly which Department and when you attended, it is difficult for us to provide you with a relevant senior member of staff's direct contact details to assist you further. Therefore, despite, your comments regarding our PALS team, if you would consider contacting them to provide us with more specific information, I am sure they will be able to forward this on to the most suitable senior member of staff to enable them to investigate matters and respond back to you more fully. However, in the meantime, may I offer on behalf of the Trust, my sincere apologies for the upset caused on this occasion and also thank you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. All patient feedback is extremely important to us, whether this be positive or negative as this offers us the opportunity to try and improve the services we provide to all our patients.
