"Poor care"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital / Accident and emergency Bassetlaw Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was kept on a trolley in A&E for 5 hours before being seen to, I was then slept in a room where people kept coming in and out to access the domestic cupborad. Due to low O2 levels I had oxygen on and this ran out and was not replaced when it ran out. The next morning I was taken to an assessment ward and then a gynae ward. When seen by the doctors I was discharged despite being in a lot of pain and having breathing difficulties.

On discharge the nurses disagreed with the doctors on my condition and gave me morphine as I was in agony. I was taken out in a wheel chair as I could not breathe.

I went home and my family were so concerned they ran the emergency GP who took one look at me and sent me back to hospital, I chose to go to Sheffield this time and they found I had Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome which, seemingly, I could have died from if I had been left much longer. I am very disapointed with the service and how I was treated.
