"Friendly ward but lack of communication"

About: Royal United Hospital

I have been an inpatient in the helena ward for over a week now. I came in due to several problems but my concern is the amount of risks I'm having to take while pregnant. They know I am 20 weeks pregnant as its on their notes. I had an MRI scan and an hour later after i went back to helena ward, a member of their staff contacted one of my nurses and said I needed an mri scan the next day. I said to them I've only just had one done today so why do I need another, the nurse then called back to the mri department and asked what is going on. They then said the lady who did my scan went home and didn't even put any of my details or results onto the system! I was extremely appalled when I was informed this and felt as a patient that I wasn't put first. I always thought the patient should be put first, and an mri scan is not the easiest thing to get. I've now been told I may have to have another but I refused to do it as I was already told by one of the radiologists that I shouldn't have one scan after the other as it can be a risk to the baby and I refuse to take that risk again as I already had one scan done 13 days ago and the radiologist said to me that having one done today was quite early but its a small risk I will have to take. So I assumed if I was to do one the next day, it would have been an even more risk to my baby! I refuse this and refuse to have that lady who went and put herself first and left straight after doing my scan and left all my information without even telling a member of staff in there that none of it was done. I just hope none of this happens to me again.
