"The hospital but much cleaner ..."

What I liked

The hospital but much cleaner than my previous visit a couple of years ago and the nurses more attentive

Much more attention given to doctors and nurses disinfecting hand between patients

I like the fact that ALL visitors and treatment and staff (docors, physio etc) were excluded during lunch time and space between visiting times which gave patients a bit of peace and quiet

What could be improved

Shower and hot water were broken in our room although due to be fixed the plumber came as I was checking out

Meals were uninspiring - I was told to only eat low fat foods and found it difficult to choose anything which was low fat - Meat lasagne, fried fish or egg salad was the option on a cold winter day, the soup was creamy leek and potato not good choices

Anything else?

Overall much improved since my last stay the Surgical Assessment Unit was caring and efficient all treatment was carefully explained and I was quickly dealt with and transferred to a ward
