"My mother appeared to have everything she needed"

About: Derriford Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

Admitted from PIU to Crownhill Ward after 2 weeks [I think] excellent care given the circumstances of mothers "bug". When asking after her I was afforded courtesy and given information I needed and she appeared to have everything she needed - its not a hotel after all!

My only criticism has to be that I was not told when she was discharged and just glad that I had called into the residential home before visiting Derriford, this might have been a case of "somebody" thinking "someone else" had done it so it ended up that "nobody" did it - but you are busy people so can be forgiven.

Rant over, thank you for everything.

I am very pleased to hear that you felt that the care your mother received was excellent. I will feed your concerns back to Crownhill Ward advising the Ward Manager that as you rightly said, you should have been called and advised of your mothers discharge. Thank you for posting your comments on NHS Choices Best wishes Genny
