"Failure to reach proper diagnosis"

About: King's Mill Hospital

Following an accident in which I was crushed by a heavy object, upon arrival at A&E i was sent to the walk in section as i was not deemed serious enough to warrant using up their time. After a nearly 2hr wait, i saw the doctor who felt my ribs and sent me home with a generic discharge sheet and instructions to buy some pain relief. Fine you may think but 3 days later I was admitted to another hospital as an emergency as i had three broken ribs and had lost half of my blood volume into my chest as a result. The first doctor failed to xray me despite the nature of my injury and as such missed the broken ribs. Following a 6 day stay in a much better hospital in Nottingham, I am finally hopefully on the mend. No thanks to kings mill. Wouldn't wish this kind of treatment on anyone.
