"Flexible cystoscopy as Urology day case on 3 March..."

About: Epsom Hospital

I have had annual rescopes following a bladder tumour being removed five years ago. I have been very satisfied on each occasion but this year , in view of the scrutiny the NHS is being put under, thought I would put my appreciation on record. I thought that the day case unit at Epsom was very well organised/managed throughout. Staff were attentive, calm and professional - with the whole process organised to reduce stress and maximise patient dignity. It appeared to me that great stress was being put on the systems required to maintain good hygiene. Whilst I have had this procedure before, it was good to have nurses explaining the procedure again and, after the procedure, being prompted by the senior theatre nurse to raise any questions I might have with the consultant.

Thank you so much for your feedback and five star rating. It is good to hear that you found our staff communicated well and that the procedure went smoothly and that you found good levels of hygiene were being maintained. Joint Medical Director, Dr James Marsh
