Thought I had a chest infection having had a cold for a couple of days. Husband drove me to A&E with shortage of breath. Booked in was seen by a nurse within 5 mins and then rushed into resus. Impeccable attention from all staff. Transferred to assessment ward a little old looking ward but staff really attentive. I can only say that after two days I was transferred to the 5 star ward in the hospital CCU. Nothing was too much for any of the staff from porters, cleaners students, nurses, sisters and doctors. All were to be commended.
Now am under the care of community cardiac nurse and the excellent service continues. The only small criticism I would have was my husband was left 1 hour 50 mins outside resus not knowing if I was dead or alive. While I know as a patient I was the priority, my husband needed to know.
"All were to be commended"
