"I feel I’ve been treated as a normal person"

About: Guernsey House

(as the patient),

I can’t speak highly enough about the whole Guernsey House experience I’ve had.

From the first (extremely anxious) day to present day, I feel I’ve been treated as a normal person, with no judgements being made.

Plus, I feel comfortable discussing all aspects of my problems with whichever Doctor/support worker is to hand.

It’s quite reassuring to know that you won’t be pressurised into doing things you’re not comfortable with.

My confidence is such now that I’m actively doing things such as attending courses at Northern College, plus alcohol group meetings which, believe me, is a major turnaround and improvement in my day to day life.

Without GH and its staff I hate to think where I may have ended up, so for that alone, thank you.
