"i was seen in a & e at first ..."

About: Barnet Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

i was seen in a & e at first and was seen quite quickly, but unfortunatly was released only to have to attend a & e a further 2 times before any treatment was given.

What could be improved

there was blood in most of the cubicles which did not belong to me and appeared to have been there some time, the staff taking blood in A &E seemed overworked and very stressed, flooors was washed and no signs put up, ended up with me slipping and banging my knee, reported this to reception and NO incident form was offered, then reported my fall to Dr seeing me, again no report form offered or even a check of my knee. Drs only seemed to half listen to my symptoms and then only after saying i wish to make a complaint was i sat down with another Dr and asked for my symptoms from the beginging. i was however VERY concerned that i was given morphen injection by a nurse who had not even met me, she injected it without even checking my name on my tag.... i could have gone to the toilet or she could have even been in the wrong cubilcle, even i know ALL names should be checked before administering controlled drugs.

Anything else?

i am still suffering from the same symptons but have now been refurred to the Royal Free for treatment, i am still waiting for my test results from my tests done in september, dispite calling several times, am told if no one has contacted me it SHOULD mean my results are fine.... i still would like to know the outcome of my byopsy!
