"I was given “tools” to move forward and have a much happier life"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

Sam was exceptional. She helped me to recognise that my low self-esteem was a direct result of my mother’s behaviour towards me when I was growing up.

Sam explained that because my mother rejected me, I had become a “people pleaser”, always putting other people’s needs and wants above my own, and being very hard on myself.

In my work life I was very driven and successful but this was at a cost to my health. Sam has been invaluable in helping me to come to terms with my mother’s rejection and my subsequent learned behaviour.

Sam has given me the “tools” to move forward and have a much happier life. I would not hesitate in recommending talking therapy to anyone suffering from depression and low self-esteem.
