I was taken to A&E on the 29th January, where I was taken to resus then to Swinley Ward, where i was being monitored. Unfortunately my condition worsened and i was transferred to H D U. Later that day I was taken to Surgery for an operation which saved my life. I was taken back to H D U for 3 days then back to Swinley ward. over the 10 days I was at the R A E I and the 3 wards i was on the staff where brilliant, nothing was to much trouble. From Cleaner to Surgeon and everyone in between. The support they gave, not just me but my family at this trying time was nothing short of fantastic. The staff where very busy but always had time to help everyone in the ward. The care and compassion they show can be seen in the work they do. Thank you so much I owe my life to the staff at R A E I and I am eternally grateful.
