I attended A & E on the afternoon of 26 February on medical advice after a strange large red patch appeared spontaneously on an already injured leg. I expected a long wait but was seen surprisingly quickly. The empathy and treatment was exemplary. Everything was carefully explained and I was also advised on what steps to take in various eventualities once I left the hospital. It was not the first time I had had to attend an A & E department, but it was certainly the least stressful.
