"Still waiting for an appointment after 17 months"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I was last seen at the eye hospital on the 4th October 2012. I have diabetic retinopathy in both eyes, severe in the left eye. My specialist wanted to see me again in 3 to 4 months. Here we are on the 5th March 2014 and still no appointment. I have checked with the appointments department, and I'm still on the waiting list. Sorry, but 17 months is not good enough, especially as my chronic condition could lead to blindness.
