"The care was excellent"

About: Guy's Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

The Albion Street practice - Dr Sonia, but never met her.

I am lucky healthwise and have never had urgent health needs.

A year to two years ago, I experience water retention/hydra cell. My doctor - a male - referred me to hospital. I received an appointment and was operated on.

The care was excellent. The next day, the surgeon visited and asked if I wanted to go home. I was given a light breakfast and also lunch, soup, main meal and pudding. Mashed potato was a little dry but the food was tasty.

In on Friday, left on Saturday. I received a phone call on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from the staff nurse asking about my after care and well being.

No complaints from GP referral to short stay in hospital and follow up. The worst bit was waiting for 10 hours before the surgery from 7: 30am to be called for the operation at 5pm.

I was sent to the recovery room, then sent to the wards.
