"Gallbladder removal 14/02/14"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I have nothing but praise for the care I received for the staff who were involved in my case at the LGH. I went onto ward 20 at 7.15am and was pleased to hear that I was first on the list. And with me being a very anxious person, you can only imagine how pleased i was! The doctor came to see me and the anaesthetist, who were very kind and explained everything in great detail and listened to my fears and made me feel calmer. I went down to theatre at 8.30am. Again the team in the anesthetic room were so very kind to me and kept me calm. Such lovely people. I came round at aprox 10:15am and was transferred to Day Case 2. The nurses on there were again very nice and I felt I was very well looked after. They kept popping by my bed to see if I needed anything and to check what level of pain I was in etc...I was discharged at 4:15pm with painkillers and dressings and instructions of what to do if i had any concerns and who to ring if needed. I just want to say thank you so much to those of you that were involved with me that day. And keep up the hard work. Where would we be without you! S.Hunt
