"Waiting for an operation after 6 months of agony so far"

About: NHS St Helens CCG St Helens Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I went to my GP, I explained my back had locked in place and was in real pain, he said I would need a MRI scan, even though I was in acute pain I had to wait 6 weeks. 48 hrs after the scan my surgery rang me to say my GP wanted to see me urgently. He said the scan results were bad, ( told him 6 weeks earlier) and would have to see a Neurologist as a matter of urgency. He went on choose and book. Next appointment was 6 weeks. By this time I was in agony. I told my GP I would pay private as the pain was too much. I got an appointment the following week. I thought my taxes paid my NHS contribution, obviously not, Now waiting for operation, in total 6 months of agony so far,
