My elderly aunt was admitted in February for rehabilitation to the Wenrisc ward from the John Radcliffe. I have been impressed by the way in which the team there have kept me informed about her progress - I live in the north of England, travel a great deal for work and I am her only relative. In particular the Occupational Therapist looking after her has 'gone the extra mile' to carry out a home assessment and discuss care options with me. She has arranged my aunt's carers and support at short notice and given priority to her needs. In her absence on leave her colleagues were equally kind and helpful. The building isn't the best, but the professional staff are attentive to the needs of the individual patient and their family and friends. When I visited the ward I was able to speak to her nurses about her progress. Everyone was friendly, courteous and helpful. I am most grateful - thank you.
