"Cardiac Cathetrisation Suite"

I had to go in for a Stent and a Flow Test. Anxious is not the word. I was extremely worried. As soon as I got there the staff were friendly and started the process of putting me at my ease. There were three other patients in for similar procedures involving catheters. The nurses, doctors and technicians were professional, caring, compassionate, funny, strict and engaging in equal measure and at the appropriate time. The nurses were always available when buzzers were rung. They took all measurements and reading when they were due and released pressure cuffs when needed. I can not fault my care whilst there and look forward to ongoing care from the Cardiac Support Nurses. If anyone reads this prior to going for this kind of procedure I can assure you that you will be in the best place with the best care. Most of the staff at the time I was there were Papworth-trained and experienced.
