I have struggled with anxiety, depression and self harm for a number of years. I had seen a number of counsellors and therapists on a private basis, but struggled to open up and talk about my issues.
My GP referred me to inclusion matters Liverpool and I had 18 sessions with a fabulous therapist. She was very patient to me, even when I refused to talk. We discussed and addressed my issues at my own pace. She was very caring, and due to her professional yet friendly manner, I felt at ease and discussed issues that I had hidden for a very long time.
The therapist always remembered all of the details and was able to refer back to things I had discussed in previous sessions, she delivered a very personalised care plan, which I found helpful for my therapy. It was almost like talking to a friend, but without the worries that she would share it with family or friends.
I still have a long way to go with my recovery and we hit many bumps in the road during my treatment, but I would recommend inclusion matters to anyone who needs help. Particularly those with milder mental health problems, because the sooner you get help the greater the chances of a full recovery. Don't hide it or put it out of your mind for 10 years like I did, as its a much harder hurdle to climb.
Thank you inclusion matters, you have helped me take my first steps to getting back to me!
"Care above and beyond expectations!"
