"The paramedics were very kind and helpful"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My husband has been a patient at Papworth hospital for 20 years and goes there for regular checks. Last week when we did not have any electricity at ours the equipment that he needs to help him sleep could not be operated so I had to call the 999 service so that they could help.

An ambulance came in next to no time; it was Mike Rowland and his partner who came to see us. They took him to Dorchester hospital where they were able to get the equipment linked up to their electricity supply so that he could get some sleep. He was very tired as we had no power at our house for over 15 hours.

Mike and his partner were very kind and helpful.

Dear Pause928

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your husband is well.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients, and their families, when they need us most.

I would like to be able to pass your thanks onto Mike and his crew mate. In order to do this I will need to know that date and address that the ambulance attended. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Kind regards

Laura
