I attended A&E on Monday I recently had a knee replacement and have an infected wound in desperation I rang Chorley hospital who did the operation explained this and they told me to go to A&E I dreaded the thought of going but on arrival I booked in waited 2 hours and when I was seen they could not do enough swabs bloods dressed the wounds and admitted me I had to wait on a trolley till 6pm as there were no beds a nurse took us up to the ward, we had to wait another 3 hours as the bed was not ready, I was led on three chairs as I felt so unwell.. But never the less I would like to thank the service the A & E staff where fantastic from start to finish very professional and caring a BIG THANKYOU from me
