Although I agree that the facilities are magnificent the attitude of some staff is still wholly unacceptable. My wife has been waiting for an operation for a stomach hernia following surgery at the hospital last year. It took time to get the pre-op meeting which finally took place in November and then she waited for an operation date. The pre-op ran out and since then she can get no information. Every time she calls planned care surgical she is told the relevant person is in a meeting but will call back. The person never calls back. My wife is in regular pain with a fist sized hernia constantly trying to push its way through her stomach lining. She can't avoid pain as she is looking after two young children. We have found this service completely appaling.
