"Opthalmology appointments by phone."

I have now spent the last 6 weeks holding on the phone for hours at a time trying to confirm my next 6 monthly appointment which should have been some time towards the end of January. As usual this is a joke “No one ever answers the phone!” Even the operator has said it’s almost impossible to get through on the phone. The longest I have spent at position 1 in the queue is over an hour listening to the inept recording telling me to hold or call back later. What’s the point! I have been trying for weeks with no joy. I must have by now missed my 6 monthly check up with no way of finding out, no one has bothered to get in touch to find out why I have missed this appointment. I was told if I had any problems with my sight between appointments to ring them immediately, I’m just glad I haven’t had to do this because it would only be a waste of time! COme on get your act together this is appalling service!
