"Consultant did not listen"

About: Northern General Hospital

Visited Rheumatology, consultant friendly but when obviously had failed to listen as he translated shoulder pain to shin pain in his letter to my GP - I now have a frozen shoulder and I am now being kept waiting for an appointment for this, Would recommend that patients visiting any doctor/consultant get a print out of notes there and then so that they know they have been listened to, and when further "complications" arise the doctors cannot then say that "the condition" was never mentioned Will never trust NHS staff again

Dear AH Rotherham Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback regarding your recent care under the Rheumatology Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and I am sorry you feel that you weren't listened to and that this led to an error in your care. If you would like us to investigate your concerns please contact our Patient Services Team on 0114 271 2400 or pst@sth.nhs.uk and they will take further details
