"Addaction Boston and Grantham"

About: Addaction Boston Addaction Grantham

(as the patient),

I am a service user who moved from the skegness area and now live in the grantham area.

When I lived in the Skegness area, I thought that the treatment I was recieving was absolutely appaulling. My key worker kept changing and I got a bloke who was very argumentitive and seemed that he didn't know nothing.

I finally moved to Grantham and got a new key worker called Simon. He really understands/listens to me.

I am very pleased with the service provided at Grantham. The receptionist is great. Benn off drugs for about 4 months and never felt better.

Hello, It's good to hear that you have gained a lot of positive help from your new worker Simon and I am sorry that you had such a disappointing experience of the service in Skegness. I have spoken to the manager who covers the Skegness area and have been informed that the worker you speak about has now left Addaction.

At Addaction we try our hardest to ensure that you stay with the same key worker throughout your treatment, but sometimes changes can't be avoided if staff leave. We also try to ensure that you are allocated a keyworker that you are able to work well with and apologise that this was not the case in Skegness.

Thank you for raising these issues. We want to ensure that our service users feel that they can raise any concerns about their keyworker at any point in their treatment with us. We will always offer service users the opportunity to change keyworkers if they wish to, as a therapeutic relationship with your worker is the key to recovery.

It is marvellous to hear that you have been free of drugs for 4 months, I hope that things continue to improve for you.

best wishes,

Jo Finch

Locality Manager
