"Signage for footpath"

About: Solihull Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

Hi

I have to visit the hospital frequently and am very worried about the number of people who walk in the road and do not use the foot path when entering or leaving. This causes vehicles to drive in the middle of the road to avoid them and I have witnessed several near misses, especially when there is another vehicle driving in the opposite direction. Another cause for concern is that it is hospital staff that appear to do this the most.

Is it possible to have some signage advising people to use the walkways. If you have any internal publications, could you include a message to remind staff of the dangers of dong this?

Thank you

Dear NooshietheNoo

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write about staff walking in the road at Solihull Hospital. I will ask our communication's department to send out an email.

Once again thank you for your email

Kind regards

Iona
