"Left me traumatised"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

Giving birth in this hospital in September has to have been one if the worst experiences of my life. I was induced at 12pm and gave birth at 4:45am the next day. The induction needle was put on my wrist to start with which was very uncomfortable. Had a very miserable midwife who didn't speak to us and was very cold to start with. Then they offered me and epidural.. Which was put in wrong! it hit a nerve and my whole body jolted and my whole right side went on fire I was in agony totally distressed. They lay me down and for hours they were messing around with the drip upping the dose and I wasn't numb at all. Eventually they lifted me up and realised it was leaking all over the bed. I said I didn't want it to be re-sighted but the second midwife insisted so I my sorry state I accepted thinking these people are professionals they know what's best! This only worked for half an hour and then my right side got all the feeling back in it and I was just told to lay on my right side! I feel they didn't have control over the situation said I was in with a bunch if trainees,I was sewn up for about 45 minutes after and she didn't even do it right it is completely botched. I have horrendous nerve damage and back pain upper and lower and it had affected my life entirely. I have only recently been diagnosed with a rectocle prolapse also so I will have to return for gyno physio and I just hope they are competent and restore some faith. Ive always wanted more than one child but not after this!
