What I liked
Nothing
What could be improved
The staff attitude towards patients. They are not trained in dealing with patients suffering trauma especially suffering a miscarrige. A distressed young girl bleeding and asking for a scan should have been treated with respect and not just fobed off as though she was worrying about nothing and prolonging the distress by being extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic. Being told you can not 'just walk in and ask for a scan you need to go home and book an appointment' is not appropriate. A young mother losing blood does not need to hear she might not get a scan for the next two days and will have to wait and find out if she is losing her baby. St Mays provided a scan (even though there was a long wait)
Anything else?
St Marys hospital is a much better hospital with staff who know exactly how to deal with patients and their situations. North Manchester General should not be allowed to treat your pregnancies if they are not trained in dealing with miscarriages. They only added to the distress I hate to think what state my sister would have been in had she not had family with her. Being sent home when losing blood is not good.
