I am horrified at the NHS parking system of the parking eye. I came in one evening with my infant son, the 6th February to be precise for an urgent check up regarding possible poison ingestion. (My son was fine, the 111 service had me petrified and I took him in as promptly as I could) however at the time of arrival. I parked in a marked accident and emergency space. Set away, I might add from the general carpark and parking meters. We were inside for one hour whilst he was being checked over. In no circumstances was my main priority my parking fee. It was dark I was worried and I hadn't passed one thought over parking charges. In retrospect it should have occurred to be. But it did not. Now I am issued with a £70.00 parking charge I simply cannot afford not think is fair when the recipient is in an accident and emergency ward. Not a pre planned appointment. An emergency ward. I am truly disappointed with the NHS on this matter and I am sure many others are infuriated and feel let down by the system. Please feel free to contact me for any other details/ a comment on the matter from yourselves
