"The next step."

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as the patient),

Booked into the Physio dept for a shoulder injury assessment. Appointment was changed, which suited me so no problem. The lady I saw carried out a thorough examination, explaining as she went what she was looking for and the results. I was booked in for an ultra scan later that week, again very swift, personal service.

The ultra scan again was very good and professional, with 3 trainees looking on. We all have to learn our trade so it wasn't an issue for me. Next stage is upper limb consultant, so far so good, fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Dear Spiller162 Thanks so much for sharing your feedback with us. I am particularly pleased to hear that you were able to help with training the ultrasonographers of the future. Direct experience is vital, and we are tremendously grateful to our patients who help us in this important task. I hope the reason they were present was explained to you clearly and you had the opportunity to discuss this if needed. It is also great to hear that the examination was thorough with a good explanation, and that your scan was a swift and personal service. Please accept my best wishes for the next step in your care and treatment journey, and my hopes that this delivers the improvements you are looking for. Thanks again for sharing this. I will make sure that your kind words are passed on to the physiotherapy and ultrasound teams. Adrian Osborne Communications Director
