"I was fitted with hearing aids "

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I did not receive a call from Specsavers so pro-actively rang your number and arranged my appointment for early January after a few weeks.

The appointment was very good. My main concern for my hearing was because I am a singer. I often felt recently that I could not always sing in tune and as a very keen bird watcher I was noticing recently that I could not recognise which bird was singing.

After my hearing test at Specsavers, Market Drayton, Mr Challoner was able to explain why I was struggling with bird song, but his trainee (the manager at Specsavers) who is a singer, confirmed that my hearing loss would have affected my ability to sing in tune.

I was fitted with hearing aids which were programmed for me and I was given a second programme (the music one) for when I am singing.

Dear 'Green41 '

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. TRAQS will contact patients in the first instance via phone and then refer onto Specsavers as necessary. We do have a worklist and contact patients in date order according to when TRAQS received the referral. Your referral would have been in this worklist and we can assure you that you would have been contacted by TRAQS.

We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the treatment that you received. Thank you again for your comments.
