"Inability to make an appointment."

About: Leicester General Hospital

Having been diagnosed with prostrate cancer, it was decided that I needed to have a Bone Scan and an MRI Scan. I was contacted in relation to the Bone Scan within a few days of the diagnosis and it was completed at Leicester Royal Infirmary on the 10 February this year, by a very friendly and efficient team. Despite contacting the Specialist Nurse and asking her to chase the appointment, which I have no doubt she has done, I still await an appointment to have my MRI Scan. This has not only resulted in me having extra pressure placed upon me, it also resulted in me having to cancel an appointment the the surgeon because he is unable to make decisions on my treatment without the MRI Scan. To say they are inefficient is a gross understatement ! I have no intention of letting this matter rest and I intend to make an official complaint regarding this matter.
