This operation was carried out on me at airedale hospital, west yorks, after several years of minimally intrusive proceedures my lower back and leg pain just got worse.
Since the surgery (2003), my back and leg pain and mobility have got much worse, plus i now have erectile problems.
I am appalled with the follow treatment from the hospital which was almost non existent.
I believe that much more information concerning risks about lower back surgery should be given to patients...if i had known then (prior to surgery) what i know now about this type of surgery...i would never have had the surgery.
