"I'm very annoyed doctors never referred me before"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

In December, I was seen by a member of the team who I found very efficient. She explained that I would have to go to have a CT scan and did some tests. Was told I would have to stop driving.

I had the CT scan, which I thought was an excellent service, in late December I was seen by Dr Campbell, who explained to me also showed me on the computer that I had a small tumour in my head. He told me he thought it was 90% benign, but I now have to go for a MRI scan to make sure.

The reason this happened was because from time to time I faint and lose consciousness, this has been going on for over a year, so I am very annoyed that doctors never sent me before. I had tests done and they said all were clear, but never sent me to hospital appointment to see the head clinic.

Thank you for your feedback which is much appreciated. We are very sorry to hear that you feel let down by your GP practice. Although your referral was processed by the TRAQS team I am unable to comment personally on your case.

However, If you wish to make a complaint your GP surgery should have a written complaints procedure, and you will find this at reception or on the practice website. As a first step, you can speak to the practice manager. You can also complain to the practice in writing, or by email.
