"Fantastic from my Consultant"

I attended the Gastroenterology clinic yesterday 17/2/14 and was seen by a member of my consultants team. He gave a me a prescription to take to a community pharmacy and said to come back in 6 months (Consultant sees me every 3-4 months. When I took the prescription to Boots Pharmacy the Pharmacist immediately noticed that the dosage this Dr had put on the prescription was 1/1000th of the correct dose (had written MG instead of GR). Therefore unable to dispense precription. This morning i rang the consultants Secretary, she took the details of what was on the prescription then told me that she was in Theatre but would speak to her afterwards. Within 2 hours I got a phone call from the secretary to say that the consultant had written me another prescription to take to the Hospital pharmacy and apologised for the error. Secretary actually took the prescription down to the pharmacy so it would be ready for me to collect when I went to pick it up (thus avoiding the usual long wait in pharmacy). Also consultant has said she will see me in 5 months (thus before prescription runs out). These 2 ladies really went "the extra mile" today - thank you so much both of you. Really hope my thanks are passed onto you both
